Web Development Question?
I am trying to start a small business website. It’s gonna work on subscription based. I used to do some programming (a long long time ago…), but most likely I am going to hire somebody to do this. Just need someone fresh in the field to give me some general outlines:
1. What does it take to program a secure part of the site that requires credit card payment? Web hosts like Yahoo! can set up the site to accept PayPal payment. But that would be more applicable to selling product. I will be selling content (nope, it ain’t porn, although the structure will be very similar).
2. Where could I find a good programmer to do something like this?
3. What is the going rate for web programmer these days and how does the contract usually work?
I know CCBill does website subscriptions and recurring payments. Maybe they’d work for you. I hear they make it super easy to install.
