Using hosts files with Windows Vista?

When I edit my hosts file to block certain websites and then try and save I get a message that say that the path is not correct or something like that but the fact is that it won’t let me save. Is it more complicated to edit my hosts files to block websites with Windows Vista? How do you edit the hosts file to block websites with Vista? Help please!

Make sure you’re an owner of the file, change the permissions to give your account full control and then it will let you save the file.
